Review: Kyosho 1/64 Skyline 2000GT-R KPGC110 Neo

Kyosho already release another latest batch for skyline series. This new series was released January 2015 and consist of 8 model of all-star Skyline. This is included KPGC10, KPGC110, RSX, R32, R33, R34, and R35. Each model have 3 variant colour.

I just got one of the model KPGC110 in red colour which is cost me RM45. This is not my first Kyosho and the workmanship and detailing is as expected. Kyosho made the model with very superb detail. Let me treat you all the photo. Enjoy.

Every series of Kyosho released should have secret model. I will review the secret model for this series next time.

Abloy Padlock PL342

Today I want to share a story related to padlock ... Because it is hard to find a review post about this Abloy padlock brands. We always heard about Solex, Yale and Abus. What a stereotype kind padlock which is by pouring the Malaysian market.

For the readers who've never heard of this brand Abloy let me share my little story. Abloy is derived from the Finnish of Assa Abloy. FYI, Yale also is a subsidiary of this ASSA Abloy. Abloy padlocks are some of the most reliable padlocks in the world, and are highly resistant to wear, dirt, moisture, corrosion and freezing. But in Malaysia's it is difficult to find except at TNB substation houses if you guys noticed they use this padlock brand to secure the building and premises.

One of the factor Abloy not popular in among Malaysia user is because of their expensive price. Price range RM150 to  RM300 depend on size and model. But for me it is acceptable for those who secure their high value building and properties for long term period.  Abloy was built by solid iron grade 4 padlock ... the shackle material is made by Boron. You guys can google what is Boron..This has made the Abloy padlock the choice of many governments and organizations around the world.

What is the different Abloy padlock with others brands out there is the unique Protect key which is cannot duplicate at general locksmith shop.  No dealer other than the dealer who originally issued the keys (or the factory can cut more keys.

The padlock weight is quiet heavy around 600 gm. Unlike most padlocks, Abloy padlocks do not contain springs or parts which could jam.

CRC Mass Air Flow Sensor Cleaner

I have long adopted this Proton Savvy .. almost 8 years .. but never clean the MAF sensor . What is the MAF sensor ? Haha .. As this Savvy powered by Renault engine then there are variety of sensors that need to be cared for and cleaned...one of them is MAF sensor.

MAF Sensor stands for Mass Air Flow Sensor . This sensor read the air flow in the combustion chamber to be mixed with gasoline . What if this sensor is faulty ? Then the car wont start as the sensor assume there are no air flow inside your engine . MAF sensor is actually difficult to break down. It just needs to be cleaned because it is exposed to oil dirt and dust from the air that sticks to the environment. The picture below is an example that there's always dirt oil whenever the MAF sensor is removed.

If you do not clean this sensor , what will happen ? Nothing...as long as your car can surf the highway... but car performance will be low at the level it should be. May result in gasoline use over the place and cause the engine to be under power and inefficient fuel consumption. Car experts recommended cleaning the sensor every time you changed the air filter.

The safe way to clean the sensor is by using CRC Mass Air Flow Sensor. Please do not use other cleaning agent that are not safe for electronic parts such as WD40 because it is left residue and will be damaged your sensor. CRC Mass Air Flow Sensor is safe for plastic and left no residue. It also quick-drying and you can use it without any worries.

I bought this at Aik Heng Motor, Section 8/1 Petaling Jaya for RM32 per can. Actually it is hard to find this thing as most hardware or spare parts shop does not have them. For me it is reasonable price compared to replace faulty sensor to new one that can cause you thousand bucks.

Even I bought this a month ago but I did not test yet to my sensor as I don't have time. But I will update to you once the cleaning job was done. Hope to gain 4-10 Horsepower as seen on the label advertisement.
